Deep Facet

So today is May 1st! Happy MAY DAY!! Did anyone get any baskets? Don’t worry I didn’t get any either.

Today was a great day for the world of #Stylists. Redken® Diamond Oil product line launched today! I was there at Salon Centric before 9am this morning to make sure that I was one of the first to get this amazing product. I had a chance earlier in April to try out the oil and of course did a review of that here if you want to go read that product review. But this is about the Facets. And the facets are strong with this one. (star wars reference)

So the client that I was able to use this product on today name is Katie and will be refereed as that from here on in. Katie decided a few weeks or months ago to go from blonde, to a darker color because her and her cousin thought it would be fun to see her with darker hair. Now understand Katie is a senior in high school this year, and yes you guessed it graduation is in less than three weeks.

So Katie came to me yesterday and was like Jay I need your help I want to go back blonde!!! I’m looking at her hair like really!! Well that’s a great hope but it will take a while to draw out that color, and of course I’m a stylist that will keep the integrity of the hair as much as I can. Sure I could have slap a 40v with Lightener in there and called it a day but no.

We went and stripped the hair color as much as possible with a color correction product that we have at Studio 28 Salon. So after the processing time and the shampooing and the rubbing of the hair and the conditioning of the hair yesterday, we were able to really lighten the hair up to a nice reddish brown. Blow-dry and see you tomorrow. Letting her hair have a rest.

So today after school Katie comes back and we planned for a all over heavy highlight, well not everyone has money floating around and what not, and Katie’s mom asked that we do as much as possible with (x amount) said that’s fine and tweaked the original plan. So a heavy partial highlight was completed and processed for a short period of time.

Now is the part that is most important to this. I washed Katie’s hair with a few shampoos and conditioners, but Redken® Diamond Oil was used in every aspect of this process where it could be used of course. I wanted to do a report on it today. So after everything was washed out, the Deep Facets was applied and let set for 5-15 minutes. (Intermission)

Diamond oil Deep Facets is an oil-fused formula that gives a great intensive nourishment, strength and replenishment. This is going to provide a protective layer of oils that is going to really going to help prevent further damage. It restores the smoothness and amazing diamond shine that only Diamond oil can bring to the table. (Intermission Discontinued)

So the recommended time for the Diamond Oil Facet has passed. Time to wash right! Well I learned early on that using cold water helps close the cuticle on the hair shaft. SO we wash out the Facet with nice cold water. Chilling her of course. NEXT its combing out and cutting of those freaky dead super damned hair. SO a haircut was due and it turned out of course, and then its blow-dry time. After a chemical service you can usually feel the damage that has happened no matter what it is. And with Facet Oil I’m telling you it was soft, shiny not even having to use the actual Diamond Oil, it was amazing simply amazing. After the blow-dry her hair was healthy looking despite knowing what we had done do it. I truly believe that without the Diamond Oil and the Diamond Oil Facet it would have not even came close to how epic Katie’s hair turned out!

So if anyone is actually reading this blog, and gives a crap with what a hairstylist has to say about a something here or there, go buy this product or get testers for yourself or a client maybe. Or if you a possibly not a stylist and your reading this go ask your personal stylist to use it in your head. I’m telling you, you will LOVE this product!
